How to cut queues in your shop?

You have a shop, a busy shop. But during certain periods of the day, or perhaps even all day, you have a queue.

First congratulations! This means you are in demand. You, your shop and your product are a wanted commodity. That queue is a sign of success.

However that queue is also a limitation. New customers see your queue and they choose not to join. Existing customers your regularly queue will quickly jump to another shop if one opens up nearby and finally your queue creates a stressful environment for your staff.

But what about your queue being a marketing trick, one that attracts customers. Well this is thinking from 1960, modern customers are too savvy for this.

Put frankly, your queue is not good for business.

So how then do you go about reducing your queue?

Queue Cutting Options

1. You could add more staff. But this will just increase your costs. Not something you might want to do.

2. You could open another shop, but this is incredibly expensive and only useful if the new shop attracts new customers, rather than taking customers from your existing queue.

3. Your could implement a Mobile App with Pre-Ordering functionality.
Your customers are already using mobile phones. The average person uses their mobile phone over 60 times per day. Allowing your customers to place an order and pay before they arrive at your store will cut your queues dramatically. That's because upto 80% of the time to serve a customer is taken up by as you ask each customer what they want and take their payment, this activity causes queues. With a pre-ordering mobile app, ALL of this time is done before the customer arrives at your store. before they are in the queue. The result a massive reduction in queues and a huge improvement in service times.

So how do you go about implementing such a Pre Ordering system. At ORDRWare we specialise in custom made pre-ordering solutions for F&B businesses. As well as pre-ordering we also offer built in loyalty and reward systems that keep customers coming back and we allow you to offer service options such as table service and delivery, as well as pre-ordering.

How A Mobile Ordering App Will Keep Your Restaurant From Closing

In 2018, for the first time in years, more restaurants closed than opened. The reason? Cost. Too many restaurants are finding it hard to keep costs down.

With more competition out there than ever before, its getting harder to attract more customers.

So the focus is now on maximising profits.

Which is where your own Table Mobile Ordering App comes in.

Now before we get into Mobile Apps, lets do a simple "Thought Experiment".

How many trips to a table does a waiter need to make for a single course meal? Well the waiter first has to take the menu, they then return to take the order, one more trip to take the food, another to clear the table, yet another when called over to be asked to pay the bill, another trip when they take the bill and finally many waiters make a final trip to take payment when the customer has indicated they are ready to pay. That is a staggering 7 trips per table!

Now let us think about this same waiter and how he would operate if his customer placed the ord…
